Village Behavioral Health (VBH) is looking for a highly motivated, dependable leader to join our team and lead our Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) Program.

Hybrid – In Office, Field & Remote | 25% Travel
Salary: $72,000 annually + Quarterly Performance-Based Bonus

About the Role

The Program Director – Mobile Crisis Services oversees the daily operations and performance of VBH’s Mobile Crisis Response Program. This role is responsible for program compliance, staffing, training, documentation, service delivery, operational improvement, and supporting the continued growth of the program.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support the Mobile Crisis Response team.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with DBHDS requirements, agency policies, and program standards.
  • Develop and maintain MCR procedures, SOPs, workflows, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor response coverage, response times, documentation, and service quality.
  • Support field operations and complex crisis situations as needed.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement solutions to strengthen program performance.
  • Maintain program data and records for reporting, audits, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, regional CSBs, and community partners.
  • Work with agency leadership to support program development and expansion.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of behavioral health crisis intervention experience.
  • 1+ year of behavioral health leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) experience.
  • Completion of DBHDS Mobile Crisis Responder training.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health crisis intervention and Virginia DBHDS requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and EHR systems.

Preferred: QMHP-A, QMHP-C, LMHP, LCSW, LPC, or other applicable behavioral health credential; CARF experience; and experience with EHR platforms.
