The Opportunity 

Our client is seeking an experienced Program Director to provide operational and programmatic leadership for its Las Vegas, NV treatment program.  This is a full-time, on-site leadership position responsible for promoting high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, employee accountability, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a positive treatment environment. 

The ideal candidate is a collaborative behavioral health leader who can balance client care, regulatory expectations, employee development, operational performance, and organizational priorities.  This individual should lead with consistency, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and a strong understanding of substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment environments. 

What You Will Do 

- Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of program operations, ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively, and consistently with organizational expectations. 
- Promote a trauma-informed, person-centered, recovery-oriented culture for clients and employees. 
- Partner with clinical leadership to support quality treatment delivery, appropriate staffing, documentation standards, and continuity of care. 
- Monitor program performance, staffing needs, client census, workflow, quality indicators, and operational priorities. 
- Ensure program operations remain aligned with applicable Nevada regulatory requirements, payer expectations, accreditation standards, organizational policies, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2. 
- Provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and professional development to assigned staff. 
- Promote reflective supervision, psychological safety, and appropriate support for employees working in high-acuity behavioral health environments. 
- Monitor employee workload and operational conditions that may contribute to burnout, compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, or reduced quality of care. 
- Collaborate with Human Resources regarding recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, reasonable accommodation processes, and consistent application of workplace policies. 
- Partner with admissions, clinical, medical, utilization review, compliance, billing, and executive leadership to support effective program operations. 
- Facilitate leadership and staff meetings and maintain clear communication regarding organizational priorities, program expectations, and operational changes. 
- Support quality assurance, incident review, corrective action planning, audits, and continuous performance improvement initiatives. 
- Ensure client and employee concerns are addressed promptly, professionally, objectively, and in accordance with organizational procedures. 
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and reinforce ethical conduct, confidentiality, and accountability throughout the program. 
- Participate in regulatory, licensing, accreditation, payer, and organizational reviews as applicable. 
- Identify operational risks and implement sustainable corrective actions in collaboration with appropriate organizational leaders. 

Requirements

Required

- Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or another qualifying behavioral health discipline from an appropriately accredited institution.
- Current Nevada license or Board-approved clinical intern credential that permits the candidate to provide the clinical services assigned to the position. Qualifying credentials may include LCSW, LMSW when practicing within authorized scope and supervision requirements, LMFT, Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, CPC, or Clinical Professional Counselor Intern, as applicable.
- Candidates practicing under an intern or other supervised credential must be eligible to provide the assigned clinical services under an appropriate Nevada-approved supervision arrangement.
- Demonstrated competence providing individual and group counseling or psychotherapy in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience with clinical assessment, individualized treatment planning, clinical documentation, and coordination of care.
- Ability to provide services within the legal and ethical scope of the candidate’s Nevada license or credential.
- Understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 requirements applicable to behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment.
- Strong interpersonal, clinical communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Preferred

- Independently licensed in Nevada as an LCSW, LMFT, CPC, or other independently licensed behavioral health professional whose scope of practice is appropriate for the position.
- LCADC or other applicable Nevada substance use disorder credential, or demonstrated professional experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Experience providing treatment in PHP, IOP, OP, residential, or comparable behavioral health settings.
- Experience facilitating structured therapeutic groups.
- Experience utilizing evidence-informed approaches such as CBT, DBT-informed interventions, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and other recovery-oriented approaches.

Compensation and Benefits 

- Salary Range: $75,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with leadership experience, credentials, program scope, and operational responsibilities. 
- Schedule: Full-time, on-site, Las Vegas, NV.
