The Program Director is responsible for the daily operations of the Gramercy Residential Program, the management and the quantity and quality of services provided to clients; adherence to budgets and contract deliverables; oversight of outcome measurements and metrics; relationships with other providers and with government, and other funders; collaborating with Human Resources on employee hiring, discipline, evaluation, training, development, and supervision. . This position is eligible for Comunilife's generous benefits and paid time off package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement employer contributions after 2 years, tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities.

 

Essential Duties:


Oversee daily operations and ensure all aspects of the facilities run effectively 24/7, 365 days a year
Oversee case management activities including psychological support, education about independent living skills and safety, facilitation of clients’ health and rehabilitation through direct services, advocacy and referrals for mental health, medical and substance abuse services, along with psychosocial, educational, vocational services.
Direct and supervise staff in health, mental health and substance abuse activities, lead team meetings, conduct individual supervision and provide exemplary leadership and program management
Coordinate with other community services such as inpatient, outpatient, emergency, day treatment, Health Homes and others to ensure comprehensive access to services
Ensure compliance with multiple funding, programs, and audit requirements
Establish and maintain strong positive and productive working relationships, with an emphasis on positive and proactive problem-solving, with the staff of the program and other internal and external stakeholders and partners
Interface with HRA via reporting, meetings, managing audits, etc.
Ensure accurate reporting and efficient and effective staff practices; develop and maintain policies, principles, and procedures that are in compliance with NYC-DOHMH, NYSOMH, Medicaid, HRA, and HUD, COC and other relevant state, city, and borough-based agencies, programs and services
Represent the programs and Comunilife in meetings as needed with regulatory agencies 
With collaboration with the Property Management, ensure the facility, program operations, and all related documentation are in compliance with policies and procedures and requirements; liaise with internal and external stakeholders and partners as needed
Manage program funds and expenditures within established budget, record and document expenditures in compliance with policies and procedures
Monitor Utilization Reviews, High Risk lists, Quality Assurance and Incident Review activities
Review and investigate all client complaints and incident reports; engage in crisis interventions as needed

QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirement(s):


Graduate degree in Social Work; Public Administration; Business Administration or any related field
At least three (3) years of post-graduate, direct mental health experience as well as three to five or more years of experience in administration and management of operating congregate residential programs
Knowledge and hands-on experience in providing direct services related to the treatment and recovery of persons with  substance abuse, serious mental illness, and homelessness
Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Office and Google product suites
Ability to perform and manage in a team approach; excellent interpersonal skills 
Ability to handle complex challenges and balance multiple demands on time and attention
