The Program Coordinator plans, develops and supervises designated programs and other programmatic activity for inmates/residents at the
correctional/detention facility.

  • Develop, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate facility programs for assigned inmates/residents.
  • Plan, develop, and conduct classes and/or structured workshops for specific programs.
  • Develops and implements cognitive-behavioral programs for inmates/residents assigned to the program.
  • Observe inmates/residents during program activities, provides consultation in response to inmate/resident needs or concerns, and assists in managing grievance resolutions.
  • Assist in the formulation and/or review of facility policies for areas under supervision; make recommendations for changes where appropriate.
  • May supervise subordinate staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by the facility and company policy. 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Social or Behavioral Science, Social Work or a closely related field is required.
  • Three years of experience in a criminal justice, human services, case management or closely related field is required.
  • One year of corrections experience is required.
  • One year experience delivering correctional programs is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 19 years of age.
