JOB SUMMARY:

This position is working in CCAP's Substance Prevention Coalition Programs.

To carry out the mission and vision of the Coalition’s while providing administrative support and serving as a spokesperson for the Coalition’s. Implements education, prevention, and awareness programs. Manages implementation of STOP and Block grants to support the work of the Coalition’s. Work with Coalition Coordinator to recruit and motivate volunteers to serve on board; collaborate with local and state staff administration, town departments (including schools, library, recreation and police), and citizens; provide outreach, environmental interventions and education to members of the community. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field with 2 years’ experience preferred
• Substance Abuse prevention experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent written and oral abilities. 
• Able to convey essential information to supervise staff.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proficient in all Microsoft platforms 
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
• Bilingual in Spanish; preferred  
• Provide/maintain all required immunizations and/or vaccinations 
• Complete all required background checks

WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS: 

This is a full-time position 35 hours per week.

Due to the nature of the job, this individual must be flexible with their schedule to accommodate the client population and community events.

May be required to work at any CCAP location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Financial:

• Work with Coordinator to maintain activities for assigned programs. Review analysis of activities, costs, and operations to determine program progress toward goals and objectives.

Programmatic:

• Analyze and plan a logic model-based program per needs assessment
• Attend all training meetings needed to fulfill program
• Generate statistical reports at the request of the coordinator
• Attend coalition meetings and take minutes at coalition meetings
• Become a Certified Prevention Specialist 
• To attend regular supervision with Program Coordinator in an individual and/or group setting.
• To complete all paperwork required for data generation in a timely fashion as determined by Program Coordinator.
• Collaborate with other CCAP programs and administration to ensure coordination of efforts and resources and the smooth implementation of services.
• Maintain productivity levels, which are determined by Coordinator and are in compliance with both program and CCAP standards.
• Attend program-related meetings as appropriate.
• Attend Community Events representing the Coalition’s  
• Attend and participate in all Coalition’s public relations activities as appropriate.
• Attend training and development sessions

Administration and Coalition Support

• Assists Coalition’s in developing and meeting goals and objectives.
• Works with Coalition’s to develop annual work plan addressing prevention programming and policy development.
• Assist Coalition Evaluator in gathering any necessary data for reporting.
• Attends meetings of the full Coalition and of Coalition’s Subcommittees.
• Represents Coalition’s at community events.
• Represents Coalition’s at Town and State level meetings related to substance abuse.
• Maintains data and prepares all necessary reports for town, state and funding agencies.
• Assists in all aspects of grant development including but not limited to reports.
• Attends meetings and conferences as required by the Coalition’s, State Agencies, and Federal Agencies.
• Assists in recruitment of new Coalition members

OTHER ABILITIES:

• Ability to speak effectively before groups and consumers, representatives of other agencies.

Personnel:

• Develop volunteer orientation and training as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned
