Practice Manager

Lighthouse Central Florida is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead the administrative and operational functions of our Client Experience Team supporting vision rehabilitation and clinical services.

This is a great opportunity for a healthcare or rehabilitation professional with strong leadership, operational, and client-service experience who enjoys building effective teams and improving the client experience.

What You’ll Do



Lead, coach, develop, and retain the Client Experience Team.


Oversee client scheduling, communication, records, documentation,medical billing, and administrative processes.


Monitor KPIs, service quality, operational performance, and resource utilization.


Ensure compliance with clinical, contractual, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.


Manage departmental budgeting, reporting, financial performance, and data analysis.


Build relationships with vendors, referral partners, community organizations, schools, and Division of Blind Services personnel.


Identify and implement process improvements that improve efficiency and the client experience.


Stay current on best practices and trends in healthcare and vision rehabilitation services.



What We’re Looking For



Bachelor’s degree in Health Services, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.


Previous management and leadership experience required.


Four or more years of experience in rehabilitation and/or medical administration preferred.


Strong understanding of healthcare or rehabilitation operations, budgeting, analytics, and performance metrics.


Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and team-building skills.


Experience with client databases, healthcare information systems, or similar technology.


Strong professional judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.


A commitment to providing high-quality services to individuals who are blind or have low vision.



Additional Requirements



Must pass a Level II background check.


Occasional travel is required.


Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and participate in occasional community events.

Education:


Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services, Social Work, or a related field required.


Experience:


Prior management and leadership experience required.
4 years’ experience in the provision of rehabilitation and medical administration is preferred.


 

Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills:


Self-Starter with superior organizational skills; ability to multi-task, adapt to change, attention to detail, time management, and prioritize effectively.
Strong managerial, problem solving, and team-building skills and demonstrate ability to motivate and empower direct and indirect reports.
Excellent budgeting, fiscal management, data analysis, and business operations knowledge.
Expert level knowledge and expertise in utilizing client database systems.
Exhibit professional maturity, judgment, and objectivity.
Possess a sensitivity towards the unique needs of individuals with low vision or blindness.


 

Physical Demands:


Ability to remain in a normal seated position regularly.
Ability to move about independently, with occasional prolonged standing and occasional outdoor exposure at events.
Ability to move and lift items, usually up to 25 lbs.
Occasional travel is required.
