Part-Time Behavioral Support Professional

Are you a behavioral professional who loves seeing someone learn a new skill, communicate more effectively, or become more independent?
We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Support Professional who has experience in Behavioral Support to join an experienced team supporting an engaging young adult with autism.
This is an opportunity to do meaningful, hands-on behavioral work while helping someone enjoy a full, active life at home and in the community. You’ll be part of a team that values consistency, creativity, relationships, and—most importantly—the person being supported.
The Position
- Part-time weekend position
- Flexible 6-hour shifts
- Not every weekend
- $28–$35/hour, based on education and experience
- Ongoing training and support
What You’ll Do
You’ll use your behavioral knowledge in real-life situations to help support growth, independence, communication, and participation.
Your role includes:
- Implementing Positive Behavior Support and ABA strategies
- Following an individualized behavior support plan with consistency and integrity
- Teaching and reinforcing communication, social, and daily living skills
- Supporting skill acquisition and independence
- Participating in community outings, recreation, and meaningful activities
- Helping with personal care and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when needed
- Responding calmly and appropriately to behavioral challenges
- Collecting information and communicating observations with the team
- Working alongside an experienced team of 11 professionals to provide consistent support
You don’t have to be perfect—you do need to be dependable, engaged, and genuinely interested in behavioral support.
We’re Looking for Someone who
- Has experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or Positive Behavior Supports
- Has experience supporting individuals with autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Will be comfortable implementing a behavior support plan and responding calmly to challenging behavior
- Will be patient, energetic, and able to build a positive relationship with the person you support
- Enjoys teaching skills rather than simply "helping"
- Will be comfortable providing hands-on support when needed
- Will be reliable and able to work independently while also being a strong team member
- Has a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record
- Will be able to safely support an adult male with physical and behavioral needs
Education & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree or training in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
We welcome candidates with certifications or experience such as:
- RBT
- TSS
- NADD
- Behavioral Health
- Special Education
- Other related behavioral or disability-support credentials
Experience with AAC, PECS, or other alternative communication systems is a plus.
This isn't a position where you're simply there to supervise someone or fill time.
