PART-TIME CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

Divine Intervention Rehabilitation, LLC (DIR) is seeking an experienced Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to serve as a Part-Time Clinical Supervisor(15-20  hours/week).

The Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical oversight, consultation, staff supervision, documentation review, and guidance to ensure behavioral health services are medically necessary, clinically appropriate, person-centered, and delivered in accordance with agency policies, Louisiana Medicaid requirements, Managed Care Organization (MCO) requirements, professional ethical standards, and applicable licensing and accreditation requirements.

The Clinical Supervisor must be LOCUS and CALOCUS certified and demonstrate competency in utilizing level-of-care assessment criteria to support appropriate service recommendations and clinical decision-making for children, adolescents, and adults.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide clinical supervision, consultation, coaching, and guidance to assigned clinical and behavioral health staff.
• Provide oversight and review of LOCUS and CALOCUS assessments and ensure level-of-care recommendations are clinically appropriate and adequately supported by the client's presenting needs and documentation.
• Ensure LOCUS/CALOCUS assessments are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
• Review clinical assessments, reassessments, treatment plans/ISRPs, 90-day progress summaries, progress notes, discharge documentation, and other clinical records as assigned.
• Review documentation for quality, medical necessity, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency with the client's diagnosis, functional needs, treatment goals, and authorized services.
• Ensure clinical documentation supports the type, frequency, duration, intensity, and medical necessity of behavioral health services.
• Provide clinical guidance regarding CPST, PSR, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, treatment planning, care coordination, and other authorized behavioral health services.
• Assist staff with developing measurable, individualized, clinically appropriate treatment goals and objectives.
• Review cases to ensure interventions are appropriate to the client's diagnosis, functional impairments, identified needs, treatment goals, and level of care.
• Conduct individual and/or group clinical supervision meetings as assigned.
• Provide consultation regarding clients with complex clinical needs, behavioral concerns, psychiatric hospitalization, crisis episodes, safety concerns, or significant changes in functioning.
• Review risk factors and ensure appropriate clinical response and documentation involving suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, self-harm, psychosis, abuse/neglect, or other significant safety concerns.
• Assist with determining when referral to a higher or lower level of care or additional community resources may be clinically appropriate.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment-team meetings, utilization reviews, clinical case conferences, and staff meetings as requested.
• Identify documentation deficiencies and provide staff with timely corrective guidance.
• Assist the Clinical Director with monitoring clinical performance, service delivery, documentation compliance, and adherence to agency policies.
• Provide training and education to staff regarding LOCUS/CALOCUS, medical necessity, clinical documentation, treatment planning, evidence-based practices, ethics, professional boundaries, confidentiality, and behavioral health requirements.
• Assist DIR with clinical preparation and response to LDH, Medicaid, MCO, CARF, credentialing, utilization-management, and quality-review activities.
• Participate in corrective-action planning when clinical, documentation, or quality deficiencies are identified.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal and state confidentiality requirements.
• Immediately communicate significant clinical, compliance, documentation, staff-performance, and client-safety concerns to the Clinical Director and/or Executive Director.
• Complete supervisory documentation, reviews, and reports within established agency deadlines.
• Perform additional clinically related responsibilities consistent with the individual's professional license and assigned role.
  
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or another applicable behavioral health discipline from an accredited institution.

Professional Licensure

Must possess a current and unrestricted Louisiana license as:

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  
  

LOCUS/CALOCUS

Current LOCUS and CALOCUS certification/training is required.

The Clinical Supervisor must maintain all required LOCUS/CALOCUS credentials, training, or competency requirements throughout employment with Divine Intervention Rehabilitation, LLC.

The Clinical Supervisor must demonstrate the ability to appropriately apply LOCUS/CALOCUS criteria when reviewing clinical needs, functional impairment, risk, environmental factors, treatment history, service intensity, and level-of-care recommendations.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three years of post-graduate behavioral health experience preferred.
• Previous clinical-supervision or clinical-leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Louisiana Medicaid behavioral health services strongly preferred.
• Experience with CPST and PSR services preferred.
• Experience reviewing behavioral health documentation for medical necessity and Medicaid/MCO compliance preferred.
• Experience with children, adolescents, adults, and families with behavioral health needs.
• Knowledge of utilization management, authorizations, and level-of-care criteria.
• Knowledge of CARF standards and quality-improvement processes preferred.
  
  

SUPERVISION TOWARD PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE

Employment as DIR's Clinical Supervisor does not automatically authorize the individual to provide board-approved supervision toward independent professional licensure.

If the Clinical Supervisor will provide formal supervision toward LPC, LCSW, or another professional license, the individual must possess the applicable Louisiana board-approved supervisory credential or designation and comply with all requirements of the applicable licensing board.

COMPENSATION

Recommended Range: $45.00–$50.00 per hour

Compensation should be based upon the individual's clinical-supervision experience, Louisiana Medicaid behavioral health experience, LOCUS/CALOCUS qualifications, board-approved supervisor status, and assigned responsibilities.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

The Clinical Supervisor is expected to maintain timely communication with DIR leadership, complete assigned clinical reviews within established deadlines, provide effective supervision and clinical consultation, identify deficiencies promptly, and ensure that clinical recommendations and level-of-care determinations are appropriately supported by the client's clinical presentation and documentation.

In order to provide community-based mental health, prospective candidates must also meet the following requirements:

• Pass state background check

• Pass a motor vehicle screening
  
• Complete First Aid/CPR and submit official college transcripts.
