Caregivers are essential to a child's progress. At Little Stars Therapy Services, our Caregiver Support Specialist helps families feel supported, informed, and connected from the beginning of intake and throughout their child's applied behavior analysis (ABA) services.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys building lasting relationships with families, helping them work through challenges, and collaborating with a clinical team. Recent master's degree graduates are encouraged to apply; prior professional experience is preferred, but not required.

What you'll do

  • Connect with caregivers during intake and remain a consistent point of support as their child receives services.
  • Manage an ongoing caseload, typically around 15–20 families. Caseload size may vary based on each family's needs and the complexity of their circumstances.
  • Check in with caregivers regularly to understand their concerns, answer questions, and identify where additional support may help.
  • Help caregivers understand ABA principles and practice strategies that align with their child's treatment plan.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs and therapy staff so caregiver support stays consistent with each client's individualized care.
  • Plan caregiver meetings and community outings around client and family needs.
  • Facilitate caregiver workshops, trainings, and group support sessions.
  • Help families find and access community resources, and follow up to understand whether they received the support they needed.
  • Document caregiver contacts, concerns, resources, and follow-up, and share relevant feedback with the clinical team.

What you'll bring

  • A master's degree in psychology, social work, special education, or a related field. This is a required qualification.
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Empathy and sound judgment when supporting caregivers through stressful or challenging situations.
  • The ability to work independently while staying connected with a collaborative clinical team.

Experience supporting children with autism or developmental disabilities and their families is welcome, but recent graduates who meet the degree requirement are encouraged to apply.
