Job Title: Outreach Coordinator

Supervises: Street Outreach Specialists (2)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation:Β $28-$30 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary
The Outreach Coordinator is HopeSource's connective tissue between the communities we serve and the agency itself. This role leads our street outreach team, builds and maintains relationships with community partners, and holds the agency accountable to its stakeholder engagement commitments at every level. The Coordinator serves as the hub between field staff, program leadership, and our partners, making sure outreach is coordinated, documented, and aligned with HopeSource's engagement strategy.
Responsibilities
Street Outreach Coordination (~35%)
- Supervise, schedule, and support Street Outreach Specialists serving Kittitas, Chelan/Douglas, and Grant/Adams counties
- Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including street outreach, community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities
- Coordinate outreach coverage, routes, and priorities across the service area, including targeted outreach for specific individuals and/or locations as required
- Engage directly in client outreach as needed in accordance with the outreach calendar
- Collaborate with Client Advocate(s) and Care Navigation around our highest-barrier clients to ensure smooth handoffs from outreach to services
- Provide day-to-day guidance, problem-solving, and case consultation to field staff
- Ensure timely and accurate records and reports of outreach efforts within HMIS and the coordinated entry system
Community Partner Connections (~30%)
- Build relationships and partner with residents, local agencies, elected officials, and community stakeholders
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with existing collaborative partners and cultivate new ones
- Maintain the Community Partner Matrix, a database of community partners with contact details for individuals at various levels in each organization
- Serve as liaison to community groups identified by leadership and/or the work plan
- Work with like-minded community groups to identify and prioritize community issues
- Align efforts with relevant Program Manager(s) to support coordinated care for mutual clients
Stakeholder Engagement Accountability (~25%)
- Track stakeholder engagement commitments assigned to staff at all levels, including Managers, Directors, and Executive leadership
- Conduct regular check-ins with assigned staff on progress and follow up on lapsed commitments
- Review engagement activities against the agency's Stakeholder Engagement Plan
- Report results, trends, and gaps to EMT and EM2 so leadership can take corrective action and keep strategy aligned
Reporting & Continuous Improvement (~10%)
- Prepare regular reports on outreach and engagement activity for leadership and funders
- Contribute to development and upkeep of the agency's Outreach & Stakeholder Engagement SOP
- Support grant reporting and compliance requirements related to outreach funding
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in outreach, community engagement, case management, or human services
- Experience coordinating or supervising staff or volunteers
- Valid WA driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurability
- Acceptable criminal history report
- Reliable and punctual
- Present a professional image as a representative of HopeSource
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality relative to work performed
- Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers, management, partner agencies, and the community
- Comfortable holding others, including senior leaders, accountable to commitments
- Ability to work with low-income populations with respect and compassion
- Demonstrated ability to build successful collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from local, county, and state government and elected officials to service providers, healthcare, law enforcement, faith communities, and community members, as well as co-workers and management.
- Effective communication skills and a professional attitude
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and manage multiple priorities on deadline
- Schedule flexibility: evenings, early mornings, and weekends may be required for community meetings, events, or outreach needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in social work, human services, public administration, or related field
- Experience working with people experiencing homelessness or housing instability
- Familiarity with HMIS, coordinated entry, or similar data systems
- Knowledge of Central Washington community resources
- Training in trauma-informed care, harm reduction, or Housing First principles
