Position Overview: 

Under the direction of the Non-Secure Placement Program Manager, assists in the management and operation of (2) NSP programs, including the care, custody, safety and welfare of juveniles placed in the programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: interpreting, adhering, coordinating and enforcing existing institutional policies and procedures for the program; problem solving; preparing, approving, reviewing and maintaining institutional records and reports. This position requires flexible hours depending on the needs of the programs i.e. staff vacancies and/or program emergencies. NSP Assistant Manager has supervisory oversight of (2) 9 bed NSP programs. The NSP Assistant Manager shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM), supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Assistant Manager is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The specialist is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents. 

Position Qualifications:

A degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work preferably in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, social work, public administration or business administration and (2) years of verifiable supervisory experience providing care, security, and counseling for juveniles in residential care setting or Highschool diploma or GED and (4) years of verifiable supervisory experience providing care, security, and counseling for juveniles in residential care setting. Possession of a valid driver’s license.
