- The MA/MS Therapist employee in this position is responsible for providing direct treatment services in the form of group, individual, family and psychoeducational counseling to consumers in Adult Mental Health and Substance Abuse Outpatient Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and gather relevant information to understand clients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and supervising licensed therapists.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, to address clients' mental health concerns.
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in the field of mental health therapy.
QualificationsRequired Education:
- Graduation from a licensed and approved college or university holding a master’s degree in a Human Services field required
Required Experience:
- Minimum of two years' experience in the substance abuse field/Mental Health field required
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in therapy.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in mental health therapy.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest research and techniques in the field.
