Mobile Response & Stabilization Services Therapist
Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS) Therapist to join our Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS) team.
This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact when children, families, and individuals are experiencing a mental health crisis or significant family escalation. Rather than requiring clients to come to an office, you’ll meet people where they are—providing crisis assessment, de-escalation, risk assessment, care coordination, and connections to the services and resources they need.
You’ll work closely with clients, families, referral sources, hospitals, law enforcement, treatment providers, and community partners to determine the appropriate level of care and help stabilize situations in the community.
Job Responsibilities:
Mobile Crisis Response
- Respond to service requests during established hours.
- Meet clients where they are to assess needs and provide timely crisis support.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify immediate safety concerns.
- Utilize de-escalation strategies to help stabilize clients and families experiencing a crisis.
- Triage clients to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Connect clients and families with appropriate treatment, stabilization services, and community resources.
Clinical Services & Follow-Up
- Complete client-centered assessments and accurately document services in the electronic health record.
- Develop individualized plans focused on risk mitigation, connection to services, and ongoing support.
- Provide short-term follow-up services following mobile response, which may include: Psychotherapy, Case management, Advocacy, Referrals, and resource coordination
- Follow up with clients and make referrals to stabilization services when appropriate.
Collaboration & Care Coordination
- Consult with internal and external providers regarding mobile response access, risk mitigation, care triage, and other clinical or operational needs.
- Collaborate with clients, referral sources, hospital staff, police departments, and other community stakeholders.
- Coordinate services and communicate effectively across providers and systems.
- Participate in team problem-solving to improve service delivery and program efficiency.
Documentation & Quality
- Complete clinical documentation within required timeframes.
- Follow MRSS workflows and data collection requirements.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with agency standards.
- Continue advancing clinical knowledge and training in required evidence-based interventions and fidelity model practices.
- Follow all agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- BSW, MSW, or Master’s degree in Counseling with active Ohio professional license.
- LISW and LPCC preferred; LSW, LPC, or MFT also considered.
- Experience working in a community-based services program.
- Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills.
- Ability to effectively de-escalate crisis situations and assess risk.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and initiative when responding to changing client and program needs.
- Ability to operate your own vehicle to provide mobile-response services.

This role pays $65,000 a year working 8am – 4pm, M-F
Work Environment
MRSS is a community-based and in-home service headquartered in an office environment during business hours. The role involves ongoing collaboration with team members, the hotline, dispatch, referral sources, and community partners through in-person, virtual, and telephone communication.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to provide mobile-response services using your own vehicle. Employees regularly use their hands to handle equipment, communicate with clients and team members, read and interpret written documentation, and occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
