Help adults living with mental health conditions build skills, gain confidence, and become more independent. At Stepping Stones, you will work alongside a supportive team to provide care and guidance that makes a difference in our clients’ daily lives.

We are seeking a Mental Health Professional to join our residential team. Under the supervision of the Program Manager and Rehabilitation Supervisor, you will help clients access community resources, develop daily living skills, and work toward their treatment goals. You will also support the daily operations of the residential site.

What You’ll Do

• Build supportive, professional relationships with clients.
• Teach daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe home.
• Provide problem-solving support, case management, community support services, and psychosocial skills training.
• Help clients access community resources, benefits, and services.
• Transport clients to appointments and other activities as needed.
• Participate in developing and carrying out client treatment plans.
• Observe clients’ self-administration of medications and provide education about medication use, symptoms, and side effects.
• Complete accurate, timely service notes and meet agency productivity expectations.
• Communicate client needs and site concerns to the team.
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow emergency procedures.
• Provide site oversight and staff direction in the Program Manager’s absence.
• Protect client rights and confidentiality and follow agency policies.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree or five years of experience in mental health or a related social service field.
• Must meet the Mental Health Professional qualifications under Medicaid Rule 140.
• At least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing and an insured vehicle available at work.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Patience, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to complete required agency training.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Schedules vary based on site coverage needs. This position involves direct client contact, computer documentation, driving, standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds. Additional duties may include lifting up to 10 pounds overhead and pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds.
