Job DetailsJob Location: Saint Albans, VT 05478Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 HourlyNCSS is seeking a Mental Health Crisis Specialist to join an exciting initiative focused on integrating mental health support into law enforcement responses. In this unique role, you’ll co-respond with the St. Albans Police Department to support individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and help connect them with the right resources and services.

This is a 20-hour-per-week, part-time position ideal for someone with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and relevant clinical or behavioral health experience who is comfortable working with people from all walks of life.

What You’ll Do


Co-respond with law enforcement to individuals experiencing mental health or other behavioral health crises
Build connections quickly with individuals who may be experiencing significant challenges
Provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention
Help individuals navigate mental health, healthcare, and other community systems
Coordinate care with community providers and other support services
Track and document data related to co-responses
Collaborate closely with the NCSS Emergency Services Team and teams throughout the agency
Work some non-traditional hours, primarily evenings and occasional weekends
