JOB SUMMARY:

Readily available for day-to-day problem-solving for their workgroup and may help with clinical assignment(s) when necessary. Works with the Site Medical Director and Supervisor to develop and maintain staffing schedules. Provides clinical mentorship, including facilitation of professional development and yearly goals to the mental health clinicians in the program. Models the importance of professional development through avenues such as leading clinical discussions, journal reviews, and coordinating clinical services. Collaborates with the Site Medical Director of the program to identify areas of potential growth and define standards of care through the initiation of program development and quality improvement. Fosters the utilization of evidenced based practice through the promotion and integration of published research/literature and use of valid and reliable measurement tools. Works with healthcare team to change or adapt practice in accordance with these advances in the field. Collaborates with program leadership in the orientation of new staff within the team.

EDUCATION:

Minimum education of a Master’s degree Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Social Worker.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years of lead experience in healthcare, human services, education or other fields offering services in the fields of mental health or substance use disorders to clients is required. Leadership experience and/or supervisor experience in the field of mental health is preferred. Experience in motivational interviewing/stages of change is highly desirable.
