HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

 All LCSNW team members will contribute to our mission of partnering with individuals, families and communities for health, justice and hope. As a Mental Health Clinician with the SWIFT program, you will provide intensive, short-term crisis intervention services to youth and their families during critical moments. Your support helps youth stabilize, build resilience, and access ongoing care. Through flexible meeting locations and collaboration with a coordinated care team, you will help youth stabilize, remain safe in their communities, and successfully transition to appropriate long-term support while participating in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule.

• Maintain a caseload of up to 20 youth and their families, with services generally expected to transition within 30 days and continued support for up to 60–90 days when appropriate. 

• Partner with the Care Coordinator to assess needs, plan for safety, provide emotional support to youth and their natural support, and connect families with community resources and appropriate services. 

• Flexibly scheduled therapy sessions with youth and families based on their identified needs. 

• Provide rapid, community-based response and intervention services to youth in the Outpatient, Referral, and SWIFT programs. 

• Use appropriate crisis-intervention techniques to assess and respond to risks of harm to self or others and support stabilization. 

• Update individualized support plans, coordinate aftercare services, and provide warm handoffs to the providers who will continue supporting the youth and family. 

HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT:

• One year of related experience; providing behavioral health services to children, youth, and families, including assessment, treatment planning, crisis response, and care coordination. 
• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or another behavioral health field that meets Washington State requirements for clinical credentialing.  
• An active Washington State Department of Health behavioral health credential is required. Candidates who do not already hold a qualifying credential must apply for an Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within 30 days of hire and meet all Washington State requirements while the application is pending. An equivalent Washington State credential may be accepted based on program requirements. 
• Fluency in English as outlined in the job posting, both spoken and written  
• Intermediate mastery of business applications and productivity suites  
• Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers. 
• Thrives in a complex environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle  
• Travels between worksites regularly; responsible for transporting clients in personal and/or agency vehicles, which requires valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and motor vehicle records clearance 
• Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, client home/community settings, outdoor settings in varying weather conditions, and faith-based settings such as churches 
• Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
