OCES is growing! We are expanding to 11 more towns covering the south shore area, including Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, etc.

OCES supports older adults and individuals with disabilities by providing vital information and coordination of services. By promoting healthy, safe living for our consumers, we hope to allow them to stay active and engaged in their lives and in their own communities for as long as possible.

Our mission: Through the talents of an experienced and diverse workforce, OCES supports the independence and dignity of older adults and individuals with disabilities by providing essential information and services that promote healthy, safe living which positively impacts our community.

We are seeking a caring Meals Site Manager to oversee food service operations at assigned meal sights for our Meals on Wheels Program, which provides needed nutritious meals to our consumers. Work with us and feel good about the contribution you are making each day.

Reliable transportation required. Monday through Friday mornings! 22-25 hours per week

What you'll do:

  • Make home visits to assess consumers' needs and develop appropriate service plans; coordinate and monitor services rendered
  • Advocate for consumers in obtaining benefits and services for which they are eligible, and assist as appropriate
  • Maintain case records to ensure program and OCES compliance
  • Make home visits for re-determination of eligibility for services in a timely manner; maintain related service authorizations and other documentation
  • Initiate and maintain communication with appropriate community resources to better coordinate delivery of consumer services as needed
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of current OCES standards and Executive Office of Elder Affairs and/or other funding source regulations
  • Conduct visits to meal sites; collaborate with meal site and other OCES staff
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring:

  • Your passion for helping others and desire to make a difference
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field. Current Social Work License preferred.
  • Two years' social service work experience, preferably in protective services or related
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional and physical processes of aging
  • Ability to interpret, understand and adhere to complex regulations, standards and procedures
