Lightshare Behavioral Wellness & Recovery

Lightshare Behavioral Wellness & Recovery is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Manager of Community Engagement Programs to lead our peer recovery support services and community outreach initiatives. This leadership role is instrumental in expanding access to recovery, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring high-quality, recovery-oriented care across multiple programs.

Position Summary 

The Manager of Community Engagement Programs oversees a diverse portfolio of peer recovery services, including the Hospital Bridge Program, Peers with EMTs, Residential Peer Services, and the Treatment Courts Program. This role serves as the primary liaison between the organization and key community stakeholders—helping to reduce barriers to care, decrease stigma, and connect individuals to recovery support at critical points of need.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and supervise peer recovery support specialists across all assigned programs

· Build and maintain partnerships with hospitals, EMS, law enforcement, courts, and community providers

· Develop and implement community outreach strategies and awareness initiatives

· Oversee program operations, documentation, compliance, and reporting requirements

· Analyze program outcomes and provide data-driven insights to leadership and funders

· Represent the organization at community meetings, coalitions, and public events

· Ensure all services align with recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care principles

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, or related field

· 3–5 years of experience in peer recovery, behavioral health, or community outreach

· Masters Degree preferred

· 2+ years of supervisory or program management experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of peer recovery models and trauma-informed practices

· Excellent communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills

· Experience working with diverse and underserved populations

· Proficiency in data tracking, reporting, and program evaluation

· Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and confidentiality standards
