Compensation: $77,500- $93,000 (Based on experience and qualifications)

As a Manager for Behavioral Health, you’ll provide overall direction to Esperanza's behavioral health program, including working with Medical Director to set goals and objectives for program in alignment with Esperanza's strategic plan. You'll provide behavioral health consultation to children, adolescents, adults and families in order to improve psychosocial functioning while supporting clinical operations and patient care through both clinical and administrative duties by:


Patient Care & Enhancing Care Flow

  • Meet with program therapists at least once per month for hourly supervision to discuss clinical cases and appropriate interventions for identified patients. May also attest to required supervision hours required for full clinical licensure of LSW/LPC behavioral health providers working towards LCSW/LCPC licensure.
  • Identify problems related to patient services and make recommendations for improvement.

Collaborative Support & Communication

  • Demonstrate effective leadership qualities, including but not limited to taking an optimistic approach to work, implementing a solutions-focused approach to problem-solving, building, and maintaining buy-in, and creating and contributing to a healthy work culture
  • Collaborate with the quality improvement team and Associate Director of Behavioral Health to develop appropriate quality measures for the therapy program; implement regular program evaluation and interpret outcomes to gauge program success and efficacy.
  • Maintain open communication with Latinos Progresando staff and establish client/patient referral process(es) per standing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). 
  • Develop contacts with community resources and serve as patient advocate, as appropriate

Administrative Duties

  • Supervise and provide supervisory oversight of designated direct reports and clinical sites.
  • Perform general managerial functions for direct reports including, but not limited to: Completing 30-day, 90-day, and annual performance reviews; approve/deny Paid Time Off requests and manage attendance expectations.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in education programs, in-service meetings, and continuing education seminars/workshops. 
  • Provide supervision to Masters-level social work or counseling students as assigned by Associate Director and/or Director of Behavioral Health.

Clinical Care

  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and attends other meeting as assigned.
  • Provide effective treatment planning and assist clients in successfully achieving mental health treatment goals.
  • Evaluate behavioral health crises and apply appropriate interventions.
  • Consult and collaborate with Esperanza primary care providers, behavioral health providers, and psychiatry providers as needed for patients receiving therapy in the Program.
  • Provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of therapy program patients.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For 

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field (Professional Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy). 
  • Current Illinois license as Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor/Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish 
  • Displays strong time management and organizational skills in a high intensity work environment. 
  • Desire to be a self-starter and take initiative, especially in a remote working environment. 
  • Handle protective health information in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) 
  • Thrives working in a team-based environment Knowledge of quality improvement and data analysis skills preferred, but not required 
  • Experience working in healthcare and/or a primary care setting preferred Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, with attention
