About Iowa Cross ACT

The Iowa Cross ACT program of Resources for Human Development (RHD) is an Assertive Community Treatment program based in Knoxville, Iowa, serving the seven-county CROSS mental health and disability services region.

Our ACT team provides coordinated, community-based behavioral health services designed to meet individuals where they are. As a Licensed Therapist, you’ll be an important part of a collaborative team working to address mental health, substance use, and other individualized treatment needs while connecting clients with the services and resources they need to succeed.

What You’ll Do

As a Licensed Therapist, you will provide individual, group, and family therapy to adults based on the needs of the program population, utilizing evidence-based practices in mental health, substance use disorders, and other areas as required by the program.

You will:

• Conduct intake assessments and make recommendations for treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's needs.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to adults experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
• Maintain an active caseload and engage individuals in ongoing treatment.
• Coordinate with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and community resources based on client needs.
• Maintain a tracking system for treatment plans and other required documentation to meet program goals and funder guidelines.
• Participate in clinical team meetings to discuss treatment goals, client progress, ongoing needs, and discharge planning.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with agency guidelines.
• Collaborate with members of the ACT team to support coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Provide supervision to non-licensed therapists, counselors, and other staff when needed to meet applicable state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field.
• Current applicable state license, including LPC, LMSW, or LISW, as required by program licensing and funder requirements.
• Familiarity with standard business computer software programs and electronic health care database programs.
• Completion and maintenance of all trainings required by licensure.
• Ability to obtain required clearances as applicable to the program.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• $70,000 Annual Salary
• Position is based with the Iowa Cross ACT program in Knoxville, Iowa

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Position involves a light level of physical activity, which may include exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently and performing the physical activities necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position.
