Licensed Mental Health Professional Lead

Shift: Monday-Friday; 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Join our team at the Robert Young Center as a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) Supervisory Team Lead, providing clinical leadership and direction to the Pathways Program while delivering trauma-informed, community-based mental health services. This role supports clients, guides team members, and ensures quality clinical documentation while following the principles of Trauma Informed Care.

The LMHP Supervisory Team Lead may be recognized as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts under Medicaid Community Mental Health Services Rule 132/140 and may provide training and support to students. Responsibilities

• Provides clinical leadership, supervision, and direction to the Pathways team, including assigning referrals, reviewing clinical activities, and supporting staff development.
• Coordinates client care by completing assessments, developing treatment plans, and ensuring clients receive appropriate behavioral health services.
• Provides clinical oversight and ensures timely, accurate completion of documentation, treatment plans, reassessments, and progress notes.
• Supports crisis intervention and responds to behavioral health needs in community settings and emergency department environments.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including providers, social workers, and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Maintains clinical excellence by utilizing evidence-based practices, ethical standards, and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Demonstrates UnityPoint Health values while following regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and department policies.

Qualifications

Education:

 • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

 • Independently licensed in good standing with the Illinois and Iowa Department of Professional Regulation as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT. • Valid Illinois driver’s license required. • CPI certification required within 6 months of hire. • Must obtain and maintain IM+CANS certification per Illinois Medicaid requirements.

Experience:

 • Two years of experience in a community mental health setting required. • Experience providing clinical assessments, treatment planning, behavioral health services, and clinical supervision preferred. • Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills required.
