About the Role


Anuvia Prevention & Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated, bilingual Licensed Counselor for our Community Resource Center (CRC) in Charlotte, NC. This role supports Anuvia's partnership with Mecklenburg County, offering walk-in mental health support with no appointment required.


In this full-time, walk-in role, you will provide up to eight free counseling sessions to residents regardless of insurance status, then coordinate ongoing care in person at the CRC or virtually.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Clinical Services

  • Provide walk-in, same-day counseling sessions at the CRC; no appointment required
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling for clients with substance use and/or co-occurring mental health disorders
  • Facilitate psychoeducation, relapse prevention, recovery skills development, and family involvement in treatment
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments including psychosocial assessments and ASAM multidimensional assessments
  • Develop ASAM Level of Care recommendations as appropriate to licensure
  • Monitor signs and symptoms of substance intoxication and withdrawal; coordinate appropriate interventions
  • Provide crisis intervention and clinical consultation as needed, including participation in on-call rotation when applicable


Treatment Planning & Care Coordination

  • Develop, implement, and update individualized, person-centered treatment and service plans prior to or on the date of service
  • Monitor client progress through ongoing assessment and reassessment; revise treatment plans as clinically indicated
  • Manage full client caseload from admission through discharge, including transitions and aftercare planning
  • Coordinate linkage to medically necessary services including MAT, psychiatric, psychological, medical, and community-based resources
  • Submit service authorizations and ensure continuity of care across providers and systems
  • Provide referrals and coordination for SUD treatment and recovery resources


Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the EHR per state, agency, and federal requirements
  • Complete required reporting including NC TOPPS, GPRA, and incident reports per established guidelines
  • Participate in QA/QI activities including peer review and timely resolution of out-of-compliance items


Team & Professional Development

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case staffing, clinical supervision, and coordination with the Clinical Director and medical providers
  • Facilitate training and supervision for interns and/or trainees as assigned
  • Administer medications and conduct UDS screenings within scope of training and licensure
  • Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, governing board requirements, and all applicable policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications & Requirements


Education & Licensure

▪ Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Social Work,

 or related field approved by NC licensing board

▪ LCAS/LCAS-A, LCMHC/LCMHC-A, LCSW/LCSW-A, or

 LMFT/LMFT-A required

▪ Equivalent combination of education and experience considered

▪ Valid NC or SC Driver's License required

Experience & Skills

▪ Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

▪ SUD and co-occurring MH treatment preferred

▪ Excellent verbal and written communication

▪ Professional demeanor and strong work ethic

▪ EHR proficiency and MS Office skills

▪ Knowledge of NC TOPPS, GPRA, and ASAM criteria
