Licensed Clinical Supervisor

The Licensed Clinical Supervisor provides clinical leadership, supervision, and oversight to Behavioral Health Services staff to ensure high-quality, individualized, and clinically appropriate services for children and families. This role provides clinical consultation and guidance, completes and supports assessment and treatment planning, reviews documentation and service delivery, and ensures services align with identified clinical needs and professional standards. The Licensed Clinical Supervisor also oversees staff performance, productivity, documentation quality, and compliance with agency, Medicaid, Texas Administrative Code, contractual, and applicable licensing requirements. The role promotes sound clinical practice, positive client outcomes, family engagement, staff development, and consistent implementation of evidence-based practices throughout the program.

• Provides day-to-day administrative and program supervision to Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) and assigned staff, including caseload management, coordination of staff activities, and guidance related to client needs and service delivery.
• Guides staff in understanding identified client needs and diagnoses and in applying appropriate program services, interventions, and approved curricula; coordinates interdisciplinary collaboration with treatment team members, parents, guardians, and foster parents as appropriate.
• Ensures treatment plans and services are aligned with needs and strengths identified through the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) or Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA) and meet Mental Health Targeted Case Management, state, and agency requirements.
• Monitors completion of required assessments, treatment plans, goals, IEP-related documentation, and other client records to ensure established deadlines and program requirements are met. Assist in enrollment and discharge decisions as needed.
• Provide guidance to staff to help them in understanding clients’ needs/diagnoses and enhance service provision skills. Coordinates inter-disciplinary teams as appropriate, involving parents/ guardians/foster parents.
• Evaluate performances of those providing clinical and other related services.
• May provide after-hours “On-Call” coverage for direct services. This service is provided during hours when the offices are closed.
• Provide crisis intervention services to clients and/or families during business hours as availability dictates.
• Assist in enrollment and discharge decisions as needed.
• Provide/coordinate training on clinical or related service topics for staff training.
• Ensure self and staff complete all training assigned by agency and program by stated due dates.
• Complete diagnostic assessment to ensure compliance with timelines required by state regulation and program policy as needed.
• Provide direct clinical or consultation services to clients and/or caregivers as needed.
• Participate in internal and external client case record review process to ensure case record
  compliance.
• Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop cross program collaboration
  and/or establishment of services.
• Understands and stays current on all Medicaid and Texas Administrative Code requirements that
  impact the program.
• May provide after-hours “On-Call” coverage for direct services. This service is provided during
  hours when the offices are closed.
• Participates in and supports in-person collaboration opportunities, including departmental and organization wide trainings, summits, seminars, meetings, and other professional development or team-building events, as required.
• Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory
  agency standards.
• May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete
  company vehicle training.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field and licensure of Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). At least three (3) years of experience working with children in the child welfare, mental health, or special education industry and one (1) year of progressive supervisory and administrative experience. Certifications in relevant evidence-based practices may be required, based on state regulations. Maintain state license requirements (LPC, LCSW or LMFT) and QMHP requirements based on Texas Administrative Code.
