The Lead Therapist promotes and provides therapeutic services to residents and their families. This role provides clinical leadership through direct service delivery, clinical consultation, case review, and program support, ensuring services align with Rawhide policies, licensing requirements, and best practices. The Lead Therapist also supports program effectiveness through evaluation, staff supervision, and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
Provide therapeutic services to clients and families
Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records and insurance documentation, as required
Lead and participate in ongoing clinical supervision and consultation
Support program quality, effectiveness, and clinical consistency
Qualifications: Job Responsibilities
Provide Therapeutic Services for Students and Families
Work collaboratively with the identified treatment team
Attend client treatment team meetings and progress summary reviews
Complete psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge plans
Provide counseling to youth, individuals, couples, families, and groups
Evaluate client needs and make appropriate referrals
Engage in Community Consultation and Collaboration
Communicate with client collateral contacts, including school personnel, healthcare providers, family members, and case managers
Maintain Client Records
Record, retain, protect, retrieve, transfer, and dispose of records in accordance with state licensing requirements
Complete insurance authorization paperwork throughout the course of treatment
Maintain a Consistent Caseload Through Marketing Efforts
Network with community programs, schools, medical facilities, government agencies, churches, businesses, families, and individuals
Conduct educational workshops and training sessions for groups and individuals
Research and assist in developing new therapeutic programs and client services
Support Program and Staff Development
Provide supervision and clinical oversight
Oversee staff development across all aspects of service delivery
Provide quality control and clinical guidance
Maintain Professional and Technical Knowledge
Completing required trainings
Attending educational workshops
Reviewing professional publications
Establish Personal Networks
Participating in professional societies
Maintain Staff Job Results
Training and coaching support staff
Establishing staff goals, monitoring progress, and providing feedback
Appraising job results
Protects the Credibility of the Rawhide Mission

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
Experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health issues
Ability to provide quality individual, group, and family therapy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong team orientation
Valid driver’s license
