Harborview Medical Center 3 West Clinics (Adult Medicine, Senior Care, Dermatology, Rheumatology and Occupational Medicine) has an outstanding leadership opportunity for a Health Service Manager.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Adults 18 and older can find a great doctor at the Adult Medicine Clinic at Harborview. Conveniently located in the First Hill neighborhood, the clinic offers comprehensive wellness care and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses.


Internal medicine doctors, called internists, focus on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases and illnesses in adults. These practitioners may also serve as primary care physicians.


Our clinic is supported by a team of professionals with expertise in mental health care, social work, chemical dependency, nutrition, clinical pharmacy, women's health issues and patient education. Our mental health care specialists provide psychiatric consultations, medication management and recommendations for continued psychiatric care.


The Senior Care Clinic at Harborview provides primary care and consultative services for patients aged 65 years and older who also have a geriatric syndrome such as cognitive impairment, falls and gait instability, frailty or functional decline.


A compassionate, multidisciplinary team provides a range of services including geriatric medicine, psychiatry, pharmacy, nutrition, social work and nursing.

The Dermatology Clinic at Harborview Medical Center provides care to patients of all ages. Services include the evaluation, management and education of patients with diseases of the skin, such as acne, dermatitis, keratoses, melanoma, squamous and basal cell carcinoma, psoriasis, pruritus, warts and wounds.


Treatments include dermatological surgery and simple wound care, debridements and dressing changes.


The Rheumatology Clinic at Harborview Medical Center offers evaluation and ongoing care for adults and adolescents suffering from a variety of inflammatory and autoimmune rheumatic conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, myositis, and scleroderma. In addition to comprehensive, on-site laboratory and imaging services, we offer a specialized musculoskeletal ultrasound for advanced diagnostics and therapy.


Our team of rheumatologists, physician assistants, nurses, staff, administrators, and pharmacists is here to serve you and your medical needs, regardless of circumstances.


The Occupational and Environmental Medicine Clinic at Harborview offers comprehensive services for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of occupational and environmental exposures, illness and injury by board-certified occupational medicine physicians. Each patient receives a detailed exposure assessment and comprehensive clinical testing, as needed. This often involves multi-specialty evaluations, guided by the most up-to-date scientific research.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees daily clinic operations, patient flow, and resource utilization to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality care.
  • Drives quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and effective use of technology and data to enhance performance and outcomes.
  • Develops and manages the clinic budget, optimizing revenue, expenses, and volume to meet financial and growth targets.
  • Provides strategic direction, fosters collaboration, and leads continuous performance improvement aligned with organizational goals.
  • Recruits, develops, evaluates, and schedules staff to ensure a competent workforce aligned with clinic needs and compliance requirements.
  • Ensures adherence to regulatory standards, documentation requirements, and audit processes to maintain clinical and operational integrity.
  • Promotes a patient-centered culture by modeling service excellence and addressing patient concerns proactively.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years’ leadership experience in health care program management
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
