Job DetailsJob Location: TURNING POINT HOMES - CHARLOTTE CLINIC - CHARLOTTE, NC 28262Position Type: ContractorJob Shift: DaysTurning Point Homes, LLC is seeking a provisionally or fully licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT) to join our Outpatient School Based Services team.  We are looking for contract therapist to serve Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  The 26-27 school year begins 08/25/26.  For over 23 years, we’ve been committed to delivering high‑quality, client‑centered mental health services across the region. Position Summary

• Provide individual therapy—and family therapy when appropriate—in office or school‑based settings
• Deliver services through in‑person or telehealth formats based on client needs
• Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with Medicaid 8C policy and MCO standards
• Support clients through high‑quality, evidence‑informed outpatient treatment

 

Essential Duties

• Provide individual and family therapy through in‑person or telehealth sessions
• Complete documentation within required timeframes per Medicaid Coverage Policy 8C
• Maintain compliance with all outpatient service standards and MCO guidelines
• Oversee administrative tasks including intakes, authorizations, reauthorizations, and productivity requirements
• Respond promptly and professionally to new referrals and ensure all stakeholders remain informed
• Participate in supervision, CEUs, and agency‑required training to maintain licensure
• Perform additional duties as assigned

QualificationsRequirements

Education:
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy from an accredited graduate program

Licensure:
• Fully (Prefered) or provisionally licensed in North Carolina (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT)

Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of documented clinical experience with the population served

Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to demonstrate empathy, insight, and unbiased clinical judgment
• Proficient in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention

 

• Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Sound ethical and professional decision‑making

Travel:
• Local travel required school‑based work
• Valid driver’s license and insurance
• Some remote/telehealth flexibility may be available
