Day Treatment Therapist – Cabarrus County (Concord, NC)

Turning Point Family Services is seeking a Therapist for our Cabarrus County Day Treatment programs located in Concord, operating inside Cabarrus County schools. We have both Elementary and Middle School Day Treatment programs. We are looking for applicants who enjoy working with children with intense behavioral needs who cannot be in a normal classroom and enjoy case management. Candidates should be team-oriented, enjoy challenges, and be committed to making a difference. This is a full-time salary position.  CPI certification will be required. Position Summary

Responsible for clinical treatment of youth and overall clinical care coordination functions for clients in the crisis in day treatment programs Furr and CC Griffin.  Split time on a rotating basis between both sites.  Provides individual, group, and family therapy.  Provide case management for clients, conduct CFTs, submission paperwork and PCP development.

Responsibilities


Provide weekly individual and group therapy
Facilitate and guide clinical treatment planning for all students in Day Treatment
Develop clinical interventions to be used at the sites and review incidents with staff
Educate family members and school social workers regarding client progress, mental health issues, and community services
Actively participate in developing Person-Centered Plans with school personnel, social services, clients, and families
Complete and maintain up-to-date client records and documentation according to TPFS standards
Follow conduct policies and daily operating procedures of Cabarrus County schools
Provide case management duties related to CFTs, PCS, PCP development, and authorizations
Make appropriate referrals as needed and discharge planning
Other duties as assigned

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications


Education: Master’s degree in human service field
Experience: Minimum 2 years working in mental health with youth
Mental Health License fully or provisional (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT)
Valid Driver’s License
