The Position:

We are seeking a Group Services Coordinator for our Balboa facility in Northridge to assist the Case Flow Coordinator in developing access to care for families in the community and provide supervision to the Group Services Case Manager and Group Facilitators. The Group Services Coordinator will identify the need for groups, identify the providers to run groups, and assist in getting groups up and running as well as managing the curriculums.  (*Two evenings a month, 10:00 a.m. – 8 p.m. may be REQUIRED*)


What You’ll Do

  • Actively involved in collaborating with Case Flow Coordinator and Admissions Coordinator to coordinate identification of referrals for group services.
  • Provides supervision to new groups as needed and assigned.
  • Provides weekly individual clinical and administrative supervision to the Group Services Case Managers.
  • Identifies and communicates the need for specific groups based on current referrals to the center.
  • Collaborates with clinical management to identify staff to run groups.
  • Utilizes collaborative documentation to prepare notes and billing for linkage interventions following DMH standards.
  • Assists in the orientation of new staff.
  • Hours: 40 hours full-time, some evenings may be required.
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm (*Two evenings a month, 10:00 a.m. – 8 p.m. may be REQUIRED*)
  • Salary: $87,000 - $95,000
  • FSLA Status: Exempt

 

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Experience commensurate with specific job responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based child and family clinical interventions relevant to families served in community mental health settings.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to complete projects and reports in a timely fashion.
  • Ph.D., Psy.D., MSW, or MA/MS with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy. Must be eligible to register for a license with the Board of Psychology or Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Licensed or license-eligible clinician REQUIRED
