Job Summary:

The Group Home Supervisor is a direct care staff position responsible for the daily activities of the FSS licensed group home, Providence House, which includes facility and program documentation, communication with staff and community partners, and supervision. The team under this position are responsible for the daytime supervision, transportation, and support of activities related to the placement of dependent children at Providence House.

Essential Duties:


Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and DCF regulations.  
Complete daily documentation reviews of communication logs, incident reports, medication logs, and house supplies.   
Ensure that all staff are following policies and procedures required by DCF and FSS.  
Ensure all incidents, injuries, and/or events are reported to the appropriate parties and in a timely manner.  
Participate in all required meetings with FSS leadership, case management teams, and community partners.   
Provide house orientation for all new residents, including house rules, grievance policy, medication documentation, and Youth Empowerment Assessment. Complete Individual Service Plans on each resident within designated time period. 
Ensure food menu is adhered to and there is proper inventory of groceries and supplies for the house. 
Supervise Daytime Youth Care Specialists, including assisting with scheduling any medical or behavioral health appointments and weekly activities for the children.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

Education:    

Bachelor’s degree in social work or in a related area of study from an accredited college or university and at least two (2) years of experience working with children; or two (2) years of college and three (3) years of experience working with children; or at least five (5) years of experience working in child welfare without a post-secondary degree.

Experience:    

At least two (2) years of experience in social services working with children; at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:    

Valid driver’s license.

Provide a copy of all degrees prior to your first day of employment
Clear a Motor Vehicles Records check and must be insurable under the company’s automobile policy.

Provide proof of and maintain a minimum personal auto liability insurance level $100,000/$300,000 if deemed to be a driving risk.
Clear an E-Verify check to substantiate that the successful candidate meets the Department of Homeland Security authorization requirements to work in the United States (for more information visit www.dhs.gov/e-verify).
Maintain certification in CPR.
Complete at least 40 hours of training annually.
Maintain certification in Human Trafficking through the state of Florida.
Maintain Food Safety Manager certification.
Maintain certification in Professional Crisis Management (PCM)
