Purpose

This position will support the Texas Interdisciplinary Plans (TIP) programs through collaborative leadership development, program design, academic support, student engagement, and supervision. This role contributes directly to TIP’s mission of fostering wellness, belonging, and student success by assisting with program assessment, coordinating student-centered events, and supporting the Peer Mentor Program.

Responsibilities

  • Program Assessment: Collaborate with staff and students to support ongoing program evaluation and continuous improvement.

  • Event Coordination: Plan, execute, and assess student-centered events for first- and second-year students

  • Peer Mentor Program Support: Assist with training, one-on-one meetings, recruitment, and data assessment for the Peer Mentor Program.

  • Additional Duties: Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Full-time enrollment as a graduate student (minimum 9 credit hours)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Intermediate experience with data and data management

  • Ability to take initiative in a fast-paced, student-facing environment

  • Strong desire to work directly with students

  • Experience teaching or leading workshops

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a Master's Degree program with a minimum of 9 credit hours in educational administration, social work, educational psychology, or a related graduate program.

  • Experience in higher education program development, student programming, or event planning.

  • Experience organizing and facilitating training.

  • Comfort working with diverse groups of students, staff, faculty, and administrators.

  • Ability to facilitate difficult dialogues across differences

  • Skill in identifying participant needs and tailoring programming accordingly

  • Ability to multitask and work independently

Salary Range
$20.00 per hour
