Job Summary:

Responsible for supervision of FAST Family Services Counselors, providing training and guidance for voluntary in home case management activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or a related field from an accredited college or university, and two years experience in counseling/case management OR a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or a related field from an accredited college or university, and four years experience in counseling/case management.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Meet training requirements stipulated by the Florida Certification Board (FCB) for a Child Welfare Case Manager

Supervision Exercised: Supervises staff of FAST Family Services Counselors


Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise daily activities of a group of Family Services Counselors (FSC).
  • Oversee caseloads, schedules, and individual staffing assignments.
  • Review FSFN reports, documents, logs, and other records prepared by the FSC.
  • Provide individualized training on tasks and assignments.
  • Assist and provide guidance on complex dependency cases.
  • Assist with arrangements for contracted services for children and families.
  • Approve invoices for client services, i.e. drug testing, evaluations, psychological testing, and counseling)
  • Act as liaison between JFCS and other agencies.
  • Ensure proper case staffing and management.
  • Participate in staff development training activities and case staffing.
  • Participate in interviews.
  • Complete qualitative supervisory reviews every 30 days for 100% of cases.
  • Complete follow up reviews on 100% of cases.
  • Follow compliance care coordinator agreement and implement disciplinary actions when required.
  • Complete assignments by given deadlines.
  • Evaluate staff performance.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Periodic Job Functions:

  • Prepare activities reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Transfer and accept cases.
  • Participate in the selection and hiring of staff.
  • Conduct FSFN corrections, as needed.
  • Transport clients in personal vehicle, if necessary.

  • Clear a local background check from Duval County and the County in which you reside.
  • Clear a drug screen.
  • Provide a copy of your educational attainment on your first day of employment.
  • Clear a Motor Vehicles Records check.
  • Provide proof auto insurance and maintain a minimum personal auto bodily injury liability insurance.
