Our Kinship and Foster Care & Adoption programs are ready to hire a Foster Care & Adoption Supervisor.

We are looking for compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals that are committed to supporting families and improving the lives of youth in Foster Care. 

In this role you will


Assist in the implementation of procedures and protocol for efficient program functioning and utilization
Ensure that assigned shift follows agency guidelines and policies, monitors staff and records to ensure compliance
Be responsible for assigned personnel activities within this program, including, but not limited to:

Interviewing and selection of employees
Evaluation of employee performance
Provide supervision as assigned


Attend and participate in agency related meetings and trainings as appropriate
Perform other duties as assigned
Supervise and evaluate Specialists
Meet regularly with Supervisor for individual supervision
Participate in staff meetings, committees and trainings as appropriate
Participate in continuing education and training especially related to the field of foster care and adoption
Meet regularly for supervisor staffings
Model Center’s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness
Collaborate with Department of Child Safety and other stakeholders to assess the safety of youths in foster care
Ensure that caregivers of youths in foster care are informed regarding available supportive resources

Training, Education, Experience Requirements:
• Education must consist of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Service or related field AND at
least 3 years’ experience in casework, licensing families, or child welfare
• Must have experience in word processing in a Windows environment
• Must have at least 1-year prior supervisory experience, preferably in a social work or
related setting
• Must have prior experience completing performance appraisals, facilitating disciplinary
processes, providing coaching/feedback and interview/selection of candidates
• Must be able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the
requirements of the position and needs of clients
• Must complete CPR/First Aid training as required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or be able to obtain one prior
to employment 
• Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License
• Must have a clean driving record for past 5 years
