About the Lehigh Valley ACT Program

The Lehigh Valley ACT Program provides comprehensive, person-centered treatment and support services to individuals living with serious mental illness. Using a team-based, recovery-focused approach, ACT services help participants achieve greater independence, improve community integration, and reduce psychiatric hospitalizations.

As a Clinician, you'll provide direct clinical services, develop individualized treatment plans, and help participants navigate both mental health and substance use recovery goals.

What You'll Do

As a Clinician, you will:

• Conduct screenings and assessments utilizing validated tools to assess depression, suicidality, trauma, substance use, and other behavioral health needs
• Develop and direct individualized behavioral and therapeutic treatment plans in collaboration with participants, families, and treatment team members
• Provide direct clinical services through counseling sessions, community-based interventions, and participant support
• Lead multidisciplinary treatment planning, safety planning, goal development, and treatment reviews
• Complete assessments, documentation, and clinical records in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
• Coordinate care and collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, counselors, and other treatment professionals
• Assist with crisis intervention using trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and program development activities

Qualifications

Required

• Master's Degree in a behavioral health, counseling, social work, psychology, or related field
• Minimum of two years of related professional experience
Current CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) certification required
• Experience providing substance use treatment and recovery support services
• Strong assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based work

Preferred

• Experience working within ACT, community mental health, or behavioral health programs
• Experience supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented treatment models
• Familiarity with community-based treatment services and case coordination

Schedule

• Full-Time, 40 hours per week
• Participation in on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Community-based position supporting 24/7 ACT program coverage requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and travel throughout the community as needed
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
• Frequent use of computers, mobile devices, and agency software systems
