Ideal Candidate Background

This role requires a unique balance of emotional intelligence and clinical operational efficiency. While we provide comprehensive training, the ideal candidate can demonstrate professional experience or strong transferable skills in the following areas:

  • Healthcare & Patient Advocacy: Experience in patient intake, healthcare administration, medical coding/billing, caregiving, medical assisting, or hospice care where dealing with sensitive medical data is routine.
  • Crisis Intervention & Support: Backgrounds in social work, case management, grief counseling, chaplaincy, or emergency dispatch (911) where maintaining emotional steadiness during high-stress, emotionally charged situations is critical.
  • Regulated Operations & Compliance: Experience working within highly structured, protocol-driven environments such as legal services, insurance claims processing, or tissue/organ banking, where adherence to compliance standards and legal consent documentation is mandatory.
  • High-Volume Logistics & Coordination: Experience managing real-time logistics, dispatch, or complex scheduling in fast-paced corporate environments or high-volume contact centers.

Desired Behavioral Attributes

  • Radical Empathy with Clear Boundaries: The ability to provide deep comfort and patience to grieving families while successfully steering the conversation to gather necessary facts and paperwork.
  • De-escalation Skills: Comfort managing a variety of emotional states—including shock, anger, panic, or profound sadness—with grace and a calming presence.

  • Logistics Coordination: Manage real-time, time-sensitive logistics with funeral homes, hospice programs, and hospitals nationwide.
  • Data Management: Accurately complete and maintain meticulous donor documentation, including legal and regulatory consent forms.
  • Protocol Adherence: Strictly follow established organizational, medical, and regulatory guidelines without deviation.
  • Technical & Communication Skills: Utilize strong computer proficiency to navigate internal databases with speed and accuracy. Deliver exceptional verbal and written communication in English.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
