FLSA DUTIES STATUS: Exempt 

REPORTS TO: Senior Director for Clinical Services

JOB OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for the recruitment, placement, training and supervision of all social work interns requiring supervision in alignment with Catholic Social Teaching principles. 

The essential job duties include but are not limited to: 

• Develop and maintain relationships with universities/colleges to promote social work internship placement/collaboration
• Recruit, train and provide supervision to student interns in social work and related fields working in collaboration with appropriate program directors within the agency. 
• Provide assistance and consultations to program directors and or staff on social work-related issues.
• Research and analyze best practice models to inform program services across agency programs.
• Provide psychoeducation/prevention presentations and conduct groups as needed.
• Provide consultation and outreach to diocesan personnel and community partners on mental wellness as needed.
• Provide counseling and support to community in times of crisis and/or disaster as needed.
• Provide consultation and case management support to social work program directors, staff and interns. 
• Prepare and present educational materials at community events as needed.
• Maintain current professional licensure in the State of Oklahoma and maintain ethical responsibilities in accordance with NASW Code of Ethics. 
• Perform other duties as required by the Senior Director for Clinical Services.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position supervises student interns who have academic requirements.
• Provide staff supervision to clinical social work candidates as needed. 

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

• Educational Requirements/Credentials - Requirements for the position are a master’s degree in clinical social work from an accredited college or university. 
• Applicants must be licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Oklahoma. 
• Must hold Board Approved Supervisor Status with Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Work or have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching principles.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication, listening, and presentation skills.
• Strong flexible interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with employees and managers at all levels in the organization.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with public, parishes, and clients 
• Ability to maintain flexibility in work schedule
• Case management experience and associated skills
• Excellent organizational skills required to ensure that multiple tasks receive adequate and timely attention.
• Able to function autonomously and be proactive.
• PC literate and proficient.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred but not required. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is sedentary work that requires the following physical activities: 

• Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
• Occasional lifting (up to 10 pounds of computer equipment or paper supplies).
• May be required to travel by car or plane to business events or other company locations. Travel may require prolonged sitting or standing
• Accommodation may be made for some of these physical demands for otherwise qualified individuals who require and request such accommodation.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Normal office environment.
• School environment, working with students
• May be subjected to fast-paced decision making, crisis situations.
