The Director of Outpatient Services provides the leadership and strategic planning of the outpatient program offered at the facility; ensuring the program meet the needs of the community and the facility’s performance goals and objectives.  Responsibilities include the overall administrative processes and management systems for outpatient services offered at the facility, promotion and maintenance of a therapeutic environment, and development and implementation of clinical treatment programs.      

 

The Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for:

 


Representing the Outpatient Services Department at the executive level and in consultation with the Medical Director.
Develop and organize programs of clinical services based on specialized patient populations.
Maintain an awareness of community and market-related activities which includes knowledge of the activities of other providers, needs of local payers and the political climate related to mental health.
Provide a broad vision in the development of programs and the evaluation of current services offered.
Strategically solve problems that encompass the larger view of the organization, and establish goals by utilizing an understanding of organizational dynamics in planning and problem solving.
Remain current on all clinical techniques, and provide direction to staff and facility personnel.
Participate in developing, justifying and controlling the annual budget for department personnel, facilities and equipment.
Ensure strategic program goals and objectives are consistent with overall facility goals and objectives.
Develop goals, objectives, policies and procedures related to the operational needs of the programs staff and patient care.


 

 

 Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

 


Education & Licensure:  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, social work, or related mental health field; Master’s Degree preferred. Must be licensed as LCSW or LCPC in the State of Illinois.
Experience:  Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in advanced clinical/management practice
Additional Skill Requirements: A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.

Compensation:

This is a full time role and the expected compensation range is $80,000-$95,000/annually.
