Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring a Director of Clinical Services.

Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington.  We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.

Position information:

The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the oversight of care management, social work, active treatment and discharge planning services provided to patients with severe and persistent mental health conditions receiving care on acute inpatient psychiatric hospital units. The Director of Clinical Services is expected to perform work at an advanced, specialized, and independent level. 
 
Essential Job Functions
Administrative
  • Oversight for social work, active treatment, and discharge planning services consistent with regulatory (DOH, TJC, CMS) standards and ensure programming is survey ready
  • Participation in the development of specialized programming for the inpatient units
  • Develop and monitor outcomes-based measurements of care
  • Budget tracking and revenue cycle monitoring and coordination with Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer
  • Responsible for quality monitoring of performance metrics and performance improvement opportunities in accordance with facility quality assurance plans
  • Supervise inpatient Group and Rec Therapists, Assessment Clinicians and Discharge Planners and follow all necessary Human Resource procedures to manage staff
  • Responsible for quality monitoring of performance metrics and performance improvement opportunities in accordance with facility quality assurance plans
  • Provide clinical licensure supervision for staff
  • Participation in Administrator on Call (AOC) rotation

Clinical
  • Provide and document patient assessments within the scope of the team leads clinical discipline as indicated by facility policy
  • Develop updates and detailed assessment of the patient’s needs
  • Assess social history and identify high-social risk issues that may impact disposition planning
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings, community meetings, patient, and family conferences as appropriate to maintain continuity of care and promote effective working relationships
  • Participate as a member of the treatment team in developing interdisciplinary master treatment plan goals for treatment and guide subsequent interventions
  • Implement planned therapeutic interventions aimed at developing adaptive skills and/or meeting specified goals in the treatment plan
  • Providing individual and group treatment modalities consistent with treatment curriculum, and patients individualized treatment plans
  • Provide required medical chart, departmental and hospital documentation, and reports to meet the Joint Commission (TJC), hospital, payer, and quality of care standards
  • Maintains confidentiality of department and employee information according to established procedures with no breaches and/or errors
  • Ensures security of files to protect confidential information

  • Salary: $109,740.80 - $179,875.20

  • Paid Time Off - You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked.  Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date.
  • Paid Time Off will be accrued based on hours worked and tenure.  You will accrue 0.12 hours of PTO per hours worked until you reach the next level of accrual.  PTO cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date with the exception of designated Wellfound holidays.

What We Require: 
Education:
  •  Master’s in Social Work from a Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited institution

Certification/License: 
  •  Washington State Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or Red Cross

Work Experience: 
  • One or more years’ supervisory experience 
  • Two or more years’ experience in behavioral health 
  • One or more years’ experience in a psychiatric setting
