Job Summary
The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the organization. As part of the leadership team, the Director of Clinical Services will develop and implement clinical strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. The Director will also be responsible for ensuring that all clinical programs and services meet regulatory and accreditation standards.
 
Description of responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement clinical strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
  2. Oversee the clinical operations of the organization
  3. Ensure that all clinical programs and services meet regulatory and accreditation standards
  4. Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement policies and procedures related to clinical operations
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to clinical staff
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs and services
  7. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes as needed
  8. Ensure that all clinical staff are properly trained and educated
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Required experience:
  1. Five years administrative experience, including non-profit behavioral health services, preferably within the public mental health system.    
  2. Must possess knowledge and understanding of Recovery Oriented System of Care, Trauma Informed Services, and Motivational Interviewing.
Education:
  1. A Master degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or other related and applicable degree. 
  2. Must possess active status, with licensure in accordance to professional field required by that governing body (LMSW, LPC, LLP, etc.) and the following:
    1. Certified by Michigan Certification Board of Addiction Professionals as a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor or have eligibility/possess a registered development plan and be timely in its implementation.
    2. Certified by Michigan Certification Board of Addiction Professionals as a Certified Clinical Supervisor or have eligibility/possess a registered development plan and be timely in its implementation.
