Department: BCIS Hudson & CCBHC

Salary: $125,000                 

Location: Hoboken, NJ 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm


Position Overview: The Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and daily operations of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Hudson and Bridgeway Crisis Intervention Services (BCIS) Hudson programs. This position provides clinical and administrative oversight to ensure high-quality, person-centered services that meet all regulatory, funding, and organizational requirements. The Program Director promotes a culture of wellness, recovery, collaboration, and accountability while driving positive outcomes for persons served. As a member of the Bridgeway Management Team, this role contributes to the achievement of organizational and strategic goals.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Foster and maintain a wellness and recovery-oriented environment through respectful, person-first language, documentation, and interactions. 
  • Promote exceptional customer service and cultivate positive relationships with staff, individuals served, community partners, and stakeholders. 
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, ethical standards, Federal and State regulations, CCBHC certification standards, DMHAS requirements, SAMHSA grant requirements, and applicable laws.

 Responsibilities for CCBHC and BCIS: 

  • Provide overall administrative oversight for CCBHC Hudson and BCIS Hudson in collaboration with the Vice President of Strategic Growth. 
  • Provide direct clinical supervision to provisionally licensed clinicians and administrative supervision to all program staff. 
  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs), Licensed Clinicians, Nurses, Case Managers, Peer Specialists, and Administrative Staff to ensure integrated, coordinated care. 
  • Ensure the CCBHC maintains ultimate clinical responsibility for services provided through Designated Collaborating Organizations (DCOs). 
  • Lead and support interdisciplinary treatment teams in addressing the medical, psychosocial, behavioral health, emotional, therapeutic, and recovery support needs of individuals served. 
  • Ensure implementation of evidence-based practices, including Crisis Intervention, Comprehensive Assessments, Diagnostic Evaluations, Collaborative Treatment and Discharge Planning, Brief Therapy, Psychoeducation, Collaborative Documentation, and Trauma-Informed Care. 
  • Ensure assessments, treatment plans, recovery plans, and clinical documentation comply with all regulatory, contractual, and funding requirements. 
  • Coordinate after-hours clinical coverage through a rotating on-call schedule and provide guidance regarding crisis response and community-based interventions. 
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community providers, hospitals, referral sources, state agencies, and system partners to improve access to care and service coordination. 
  • Represent the programs at SRC meetings, system-of-care meetings, and community stakeholder forums. 
  • Support the integration of mental health, substance use treatment, primary care, urgent care, case management, recovery supports, and care coordination services. 
  • Monitor program performance, quality indicators, and outcomes, implementing improvement initiatives as needed. 
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all required reports, data collection, and outcome measures for DMHAS, SAMHSA, and other funding sources.

Requirements

Education/Certifications:

  •  Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.
  • LCSW or LPC required; LCADC preferred but not required 
  • Clinical Supervision Certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership and supervisory experience in behavioral health, community mental health, crisis services, or related settings.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary clinical teams and regulatory compliance preferred
  • Experience with CCBHC standards and grant-funded programs strongly preferred.

Driver’s License, Vehicle:

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • No more than one moving violation within the past 12 months
  • Vehicle required
