What You'll Do:

 

The Director, Clinical Services will play a pivotal role in the successful launch and ongoing leadership of our new state-of-the-art facility in King of Prussia. This is a unique opportunity to shape clinical operations from the ground up, serving as a key leader in the opening process—including building and activating community partnerships, driving strategic hiring and team development, and establishing the clinical foundation for high-quality, person-centered care. The Director will work cross-functionally with Operations, Medical Leadership, and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless facility opening, strong community integration, and long-term program success.

The Director, Clinical Services is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and performance of clinical operations and the individual care experience at the facility. In partnership with Operations and Medical Leadership, this role ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centered, and compliant clinical services

  • Strategic and Operational Clinical Leadership:
    • Provide leadership across all clinical services to ensure high-quality, person-centered care
    • Ensure care delivery is timely, safe, effective, efficient, equitable, and recovery-oriented
    • Align clinical operations with organizational strategy and regulatory expectations
  • Clinical Program Development and Optimization:
    • Lead planning, development, and implementation of clinical programs and service lines
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across programs
    • Identify opportunities to expand services and improve outcomes and efficiency
  • Quality, Performance Improvement, and Compliance (QAPI):
    • Establish and promote a culture of clinical excellence and accountability
    • Oversee QAPI initiatives, including KPI development, tracking, and reporting
    • Develop and execute action plans based on performance data
    • Ensure clinical documentation meets regulatory, compliance, and reimbursement standards
    • Partner with Compliance to maintain adherence to federal, state, and payer requirements
  • Financial and Operational Management:
    • Manage clinical operations within budget parameters
    • Oversee revenue and expense performance, including variance analysis
    • Drive fiscal accountability across clinical services
    • Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle performance
  • Clinical Leadership and Workforce Development:
    • Develop and mentor clinical leaders and staff
    • Foster engagement, retention, and professional growth
    • Provide clinical supervision in accordance with state requirements
    • Promote a culture of accountability and high performance
  • Cross-Functional and Medical Leadership Collaboration:
    • Partner with Medical Leadership to ensure consistency across disciplines
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrated service delivery
    • Work closely with Strategic Account Management to support stakeholder deliverables
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Community Relations:
    • Build and maintain relationships with counties, MCOs, regulators, and community partners
    • Represent the organization within the community and key stakeholder groups
    • Support business development and partnership efforts through relationship management
  • Regulatory Readiness and Accreditation:
    • Support licensing, audits, and accreditation activities (e.g., Joint Commission)
    • Ensure program readiness for regulatory reviews and inspections
    • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory standards
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational priorities and initiatives

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, social services, or related field required
  • Independent clinical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP), including one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist: 
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) 
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)  
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)  
    • Licensed Psychologist
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field aligned with licensure required 
  • Actively licensed and meets state requirements to provide clinical supervision toward independent licensure
  • Minimum of 7 years of clinical behavioral health experience, including operations
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience
  • Experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility
  • Experience leading large, interdisciplinary teams in a high-acuity, 24/7 clinical environment
  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, regulatory requirements, and reimbursement practices
  • Ability to pass required background checks in accordance with state and organizational requirements
  • Ability to perform Safe Clinch or equivalent de-escalation/restraint techniques
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
  • Complete all credentialing requirements within the required time period, including but not limited to obtaining a National Provider Identifier (NPI), Medallion enrollment, Medicare enrollment, and any other necessary credentials as required for the role

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment 
  • Familiarity with Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) regulations and standards
  • DDAP-approved clinical supervisor designation
  • Master's Degree in healthcare administration, social services, nursing, or related field
  • 10+ years of clinical, crisis operations, or related experience
  • Experience in emergency or crisis behavioral health settings
  • Advanced licensure or certifications in behavioral health or nursing
  • Experience with Joint Commission or other accreditation standards
