M-F 8am-5pm onsite and remote schedule

Pay Range:

$47.50 - $71.25

Essential Functions

  • Responds to referrals and requests for services and information, including the appropriate clinical screening of potential admissions for treatment.
  • Interfaces closely with the medical staff, fellow department heads and administration and functions as a liaison with other Behavioral Health Centers.
  • Coordinates hiring, training, development and coaching/counseling of all Call Center Counselors, RNs and Associates. Writes and revises departmental policies and procedures in accordance with system goals.
  • Ensures compliance with licensure requirements for all members of the department.
  • Manages and coordinates all call center projects and ensures 24 hour coverage.
  • Ensures that all information obtained by Call Center Counselors is accurate and clinically based decisions have been made regarding the patient's level of care.
  • Works within all areas of the hospitals including but not limited to units, clinics, cottages and emergency department.
  • Keeps reports and reconciles interpreting expenses for the hospital.
  • Provides and ensures quality guest/customer relations and ensures that the manner in which the Call Center staff communicates with patients, families, referral sources and fellow staff is effective and professional.

Physical Requirements
Works in the Call Center and surrounding area, but also areas including patient care units, emergency rooms, individual offices and conference areas with exposure to potentially hostile patients. Work requires frequent moving from one area to another, answering telephones, answering pagers, and coordinating and communicating with other staff persons in various disciplines and agencies. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds and medical equipment and supplies.



Education, Experience and Certifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or related field required. Minimum of 2 years management experience required.
