Support Services of Virginia is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Danville to provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community-based settings. We are looking for dependable, compassionate team members who are adaptable, community-oriented, and committed to helping individuals build greater independence and quality of life.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will assist individuals with daily living activities while supporting their personal goals, independence, and participation in the community. You will help individuals maintain a balance between what is important to them and what is important for them while encouraging meaningful relationships and experiences.

Schedule & Work Environment
Support Services of Virginia provides services 24 hours a day. Full-time, part-time, and relief DSP opportunities are available, with schedules that may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and other shifts based on program needs and employee availability.
Whether providing support in an individual’s home or within the community, DSPs play an important role in promoting independence and quality of life.
Virtual interviews and training are available through Zoom.
Compensation
Starting pay: $13.50 per hour
Opportunity to increase to $14.00 per hour following training and medication certification clearance

Requirements
Proof of highest level of education
Ability to pass criminal background, registry, and tuberculosis screenings
Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, Medicaid Waiver Certification, and Direct Support Professional Core Competencies
Strong communication and time management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
