The Arc of Palm Beach County is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and bilingual (English/Spanish) Developmental Specialist to join our Early Intervention team. In this role, you'll work directly with young children and their families, providing developmental support, education, coaching, and resources that promote healthy growth and lifelong success.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct developmental services to children and families in home, community, childcare, and other natural settings.
• Coach and educate parents, caregivers, and family members on developmental milestones and strategies.
• Conduct meaningful one-on-one interactions designed to support child development and family engagement.
• Observe developmental progress and help implement individualized intervention strategies.
• Connect families with community resources and referrals that support their goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and program records.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, community partners, childcare professionals, and other service providers.
• Participate in supervision, professional development, field observations, and training opportunities.
• Manage a flexible schedule while providing exceptional service to families.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Humanities, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with children in a classroom, office, home-based, or community setting with a developmental focus.
• Valid Florida Driver's License, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and Infant CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a related field.
• Experience working with diverse families and community-based services.
• Knowledge of child development, developmental assessments, family engagement, and intervention planning.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel throughout the service area to meet with families and community partners.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
• Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
