Compensation We Offer   

• The initial compensation for this position ranges from $83,260 - $ 102,399, depending on experience, location and internal equity considerations 

 

Possible Additional Compensation (may vary based on position eligibility) 

• 8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD. and select Peer Certifications 

• Possible Bilingual Differentials: Up to 7.5% for qualifying direct-service roles; up to $80.00/month flat fee for qualifying non-direct service roles.

Job Summary

With limited supervision, provides comprehensive safety risk assessments, clinical interventions for crisis de-escalation, safety planning, hospitalization facilitation, case management, and coordination of therapeutic activities in the community. This position may work jointly with police officers and other community in de-escalation safety. Ensures that documentation and maintenance of clinical records is completed per appropriate standards and regulations. Provides facilitation and support to enhance the efforts of individuals and their families/caregivers in the design and implementation of evidence-based treatment. This position works directly with high at-risk individuals in person who are presenting as a danger to themselves, danger to others, or gravely disabled. This position supports community callers as part of a 24/7 program to also offer phone consultation, coaching, de-escalation, and resources. Leads and facilitates cross-functional teams, provides community outreach (trainings/presentations) and supports other mental health workers.

• Applies advanced skill in acquisition and application of clinically related information to effectively intervene with individuals and families
• Understands and applies multi-modal approaches and perspectives to therapeutic direction.
• Provides coaching and mentoring of others in the implementation of EBPs.
• Leads problem solving interaction and work with external customers.
• Maintains audit ready charts and audits charts independently.
• Provides observations and feedback to supervisor in order to monitor and/or modify programs or approaches.Provides community-based trainings.
• Actively participates in the identification of team opportunities for improvement or identification of deficiencies and in the development of strategies to address or bridge gaps.
• Leads Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and project implementation.
• Performs other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/business needs.

• Master's of Art's (M.A.) degree in Social Work or a closely related field (e.g., Marriage, Child and Family Counseling or Psychology) and three (3) years of supervised clinical experience with children and or adults, or equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of relevant experience equals one year of education) to include:
• Licensed according to California state law (Welfare and Institutions Code section 5600.2)
• Experience with Wraparound plans and development of ICFPs.If program requires, employee must pass an initial physical abilities test (PATS) and be certified in crisis intervention techniques within the first 30 days and annually.

Physical Requirements

Must remain physically fit enough to keep clients self-safe. While performing these duties the employee is required to perform the following physical tasks when the need arises:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. This also includes the ability to:• Move quickly/run• Drive a carIf program requires, employee must pass an initial physical abilities test (PATS) and be certified in crisis intervention techniques within the first 30 days and annually. If employed at a Crisis Stabilization Unit, employee is required to perform and pass a Human Performance Evaluation Test at a designated company clinic. This will include testing for: lifting, pushing/pulling, repetitive coupling, static weight, and other required movements. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
