Counselor-Behavioral

Purpose:
The Counselor is responsible for providing individual, group therapy, family therapy, psychosocial assessment and discharge planning for the patients in the Outpatient/Inpatient Mental Health Department. In addition, the Counselor administers psychological testing, prepares reports for the Medical Record and provides counseling services the Employee Assistance Program.

Responsibilities:
 

• Psychosocial history assessment Conducts psycho-education group Conducts individual therapy Participates in discharge planning Conducts family therapy Facilitates Group Psychotherapy On Outpatient basis, will formulate a diagnosis and initiate treatment appropriate to that diagnosis.

• Masters Degree in Psychology, Clinical Counseling or Social Work 
• Two (2) years experience in Mental Health counseling preferred and Board Certified or Board Certified eligible. 
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of: 1. Physical 2. Background Check Must be physically able to perform all job duties as assigned.
