Job Summary
The Volunteer Coordinator engages and involves a community of supporters to advance the Rural Parish Clinic's mission, vision, and values.
Job Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding

Identify, source, and recruit clinical and non-clinical volunteers across targeted community networks, academic institutions, and partner organizations.

Conduct volunteer screening, interviewing, background checks, and orientation programs in compliance with clinic protocols and regulatory standards.
2. Volunteer Program Management & Scheduling

Direct, schedule, and support day-to-day volunteer coverage across clinic sites and mobile medical units.

Maintain complete volunteer records, certifications, and compliance metrics within the volunteer management system.

Provide continuous consultation, direction, and evaluation to maintain high engagement and operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in volunteer management, community outreach, or program coordination (healthcare or non-profit environment preferred).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong organizational skills with demonstrated proficiency in program scheduling and tracking systems.

Excellent verbal, written, and public presentation skills.

Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including medical professionals, community partners, and volunteers.
