Compliance and Quality Specialist

SAFY is seeking a full time Compliance and Quality (COMQI) Specialist for SAFY of America serving the State of Ohio.
As a COMQI Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and tracking system performance and assessing risk in divisional offices throughout the assigned state(s).

What You’ll Do
Compliance/Reporting:
- Perform an analysis of staff compliance with various elements of the Performance & Quality Improvement
- Plan for each assigned divisional office. Conduct reviews of youth and foster parent files using prescribed form to determine compliance with file requirements.
- Provide Treatment Director and staff of the division with results of review and assist with analysis of results.
- Prepare summary reports of findings for the Director of COMQI and/or Executive Director of COMQI.
- Assist with data collection and file reviews for audit preparedness for state and/or county audits.
- Conduct Medical Necessity File Reviews and Billing Reviews for billable services, including billable Foster Parent notes.
- Provide technical assistance to division office staff including in service training on all phases of the Performance & Quality Improvement Plan, file compliance, COA standards, and agency policies, procedures and forms. Serve as a resource of information for division office staff regarding file compliance regulations.
- Assist with preparation for COA reviews.
- Gather data, review policies, and assist with Performance & Quality Improvement Plan development by making recommendations based on observations in the field.
Other:
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of SAFY staff by participating in joint meetings, and problem identification and resolution.
- Establish and maintain a supportive and positive working relationships.
- Attend relevant in-house and external seminars, trainings, conferences and workshops to develop and enhance knowledge in the designated area as well as achieve relevant education hours per year to enhance professional and job related skills.
- Attends required meetings within division, region, and central office (team and/or community partners).
- Participate in assigned committees and chairs if so appointed. If appointed, maintains liaisons with state and national organizations.
- Meets regularly with supervisor to discuss issues and performance.
- Submit monthly/quarterly reports to immediate supervisor.
- Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences of staff, SAFY youth, foster parents, referral sources and the public.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field, business management, or other approved related field
- License in social work or counseling is preferred
- Three years of business management, quality improvement and/or audit experience preferred

- Target salary range: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00
- Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education and licensure of candidate, location of the position, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
