Coalition Specialist
Behavioral Health Solutions of South TexasWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Coalition Specialist to engage Cameron County communities in prevention, education, outreach, and coalition-building activities that promote behavioral health and reduce the impact of trauma, violence, substance misuse, and other risk factors. The position will mobilize community partners to implement evidence-based, trauma-informed strategies that address the needs of children and adolescents, individuals experiencing socioeconomic challenges, veterans and military families, justice-involved individuals, and families requiring coordinated multi-system support.
Job Description:
- Support recruitment of diverse Behavioral Health and Community Safety Coalition, including developing partnerships, MOUs, referral pathways, and communication protocols.
- Support community needs assessments, engage stakeholders, and support development and implementation of measurable strategic plans addressing behavioral health, prevention, resilience, and community safety.
- Conduct community outreach and prevention education focused on behavioral health.
- Support the development of youth and family advisory groups and engage youth, families, and community members in prevention, leadership, resilience, and behavioral health promotion activities.
- Conduct behavioral health, trauma, and substance use screenings; identify individual needs and risk factors; provide appropriate referrals and resource navigation; and follow up to support successful connections to treatment, recovery, and supportive services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or equivalent.
- Experience working in social services, conducting presentations, networking in the community or schools or at risk population is preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation as travel is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Some travel required within service area and must have current TX driver’s license with current liability insurance

Pay: $33,000 annually
