POSITION OVERVIEW
The Program Manager plays a vital support role within the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas program team, helping to implement high-quality programs and ensuring that staff, youth, and club sites have the resources, training, and guidance they need to succeed. This is a full-time, salaried position ideal for a motivated, tech-savvy professional who thrives in a dynamic, multi-site environment and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. The Program Manager will develop program curricula and calendar, coordinate programmatic partnership services, ensure consistent implementation across the organization, and use data to measure outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Program Implementation & Training
  • Support the program team in the planning and implementation of Club programs across all sites.
  • Coordinate staff and volunteer training to ensure consistent, high-quality program delivery.
  • Equip and support youth development professionals in the effective implementation of high-quality programs, including STEM and emerging technology initiatives, daily physical activity, volunteer service opportunities, and experiences that promote life skills and workforce readiness.
  • Establish and maintain systems that elevate youth voice, leadership, and recognition through structured opportunities such as Youth of the Month, Youth of the Year, and other leadership development programs.
  • Develop and coordinate meaningful parent and family engagement opportunities that strengthen relationships and support positive youth outcomes.
  • Lead the evaluation, enhancement, and continuous improvement of program offerings to ensure they remain innovative, relevant, impactful, and responsive to the evolving needs of youth and communities.
Administrative Support
  • Coordinate Youth of the Month and Year celebrations, competitions, and speaking engagements for the organization.
  • Collect and review programmatic grant reports and data, report card data, and youth/family survey data, and other program data as requested.
  • Ensure all club locations are stocked with necessary supplies, materials, and program guides ahead of each program cycle.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to grant and program operations, as well as administrative functions.
  • Collaborate with the Grants, HR, Events, and Accounting departments to provide programmatic participation data, products, and to serve as a liaison to Club staff.
  • Identify and pursue new partnerships and resources that align with the Northstar goals.
  • Represent BGCD at community events, partner meetings, and donor engagements with professionalism and a compelling articulation of program impact.
  • Engage club members and families as active stakeholders, ensuring programming is welcoming, culturally responsive, and member-centered.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to support grant prospecting, donor stewardship, and storytelling efforts that highlight program outcomes.

Technology & Program Content
  • Learn and support a range of program areas including 3D printing, podcasting, esports, STEM, robotics, and coding.
  • Help young people and Club staff develop competency and enthusiasm across these program areas.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and program tools used across Club sites.
Other
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the program team and organizational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Experience
  • Experience in youth development, education, or nonprofit program administration preferred.
  • Familiarity with workforce development programming and scholarship/stipend administration a plus.
  • Interest and experience in STEM, technology, or digital media programs preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable learning and working with new technologies and digital tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, youth, and community stakeholders.
  • Passionate about equipping young people with the skills, confidence, and connections they need to thrive.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Regular travel between multiple Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas club sites required.
  • This position generally operates Monday through Friday from 10:00 – 7:00 PM,  however, frequent evening and weekend work is required to support Club programs,  events, trainings, and other organizational activities. The Manager must maintain a flexible schedule and be available to respond to program, safety, and operational needs as necessary. 
  • Flexibility required during peak program seasons to support club events and sporting activities

SALARY RANGE:  $50,000 - $60,000

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Maintain a high energy level.
Frequently lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 25 pounds when preparing rooms for activities.
Typically bend, stoop, walk and sometimes run while interacting with children in various activities throughout the day.
Ability to perform duties effectively under stressful conditions; ability to make decisions quickly and accurately with tact and impartiality.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
